Emails Highlight Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Relationship

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent helper".

These messages were published on Wednesday together with over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to establish his identity by matching the dates, events, and places referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the redacted user in the chat, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and delivered the speech at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's key aides in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his podcast recently, he stated: "We plan to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, next year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released documents indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time before the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit thing this day with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "The guys are trying to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so others get the dedication of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the people here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the justice department should release all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was renewed recently after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his archives.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
